Financial Instrument for Urban Rehabilitation and Revitalization

The Financial Instrument for Urban Rehabilitation and Revitalization started on October 30, 2017, with full coverage of the national territory, and has as its purpose:

a) The complete rehabilitation of buildings with an age equal to or greater than 30 years (or, in the case of the age of the latter, that demonstrate a conservation level equal to or less than 2 (determined in accordance with Decree-Law no. 266-B / 2012, of December 31);

b) The rehabilitation of abandoned spaces and industrial units;

c) The rehabilitation of private fractions inserted in buildings of social housing that are the object of integral rehabilitation.

In the same funding request, IFRRU 2020 supports energy efficiency measures complementary to urban rehabilitation interventions.

Its target audience is natural and legal persons and rehabilitated buildings can be used for any use, such as housing, economic activities, and equipment for collective use.

There are a set of requirements that the investment project must meet to be funded.
